    Stat System Empty Stat System

Post by Selenia Wed Nov 11, 2015 7:18 pm

The stat system will revolve around the idea that all ranks are equal in physical strength, speed, precision, and endurance. To explain why your character is naturally stronger, faster, more accurate, or more physically enduring, you have your two character race abilities/perks. Otherwise, everyone is the same, because there is usually no real difference between a guild master's speed and one of the guild member's speed normally; the changes were all present once magic was involved. For this reason, magic will decide one's stat increases (unless it is a character perk). Stats can be increased starting at B-Rank magically unless the stat is a character perk, in which case that stat will depend on the character's rank (or magic's rank in case of a magic perk). In addition, stats must only affect oneself; there are no AOE stat boosts. The duration of the boost depends on the rank of the spell or the rank of the perk. To clarify, B-Rank requires a B-Rank spell A-Rank requires an A-Rank spell, S-Rank requires an S-Rank spell, SS-Rank requires an SS-Rank spell, and X-Rank requires an X-Rank spell, a combination of two spells, or one or two perks, the rank determined by the character's rank/magic's rank. Stats of equal rank basically nullify, and it will be up to the RPers if a spell hits when it comes to speed and precision, as it usually is anyways. Finally, stats can stack: for example, I can have a character perk dealing with speed, then boost my speed even further with a spell or magic perk. However, the cap on one stat is two separate increases.

    Stat Increases

Strength: This stat affects physical damage done either with or without a weapon as well as how much an individual can lift.
Average - Able to attack with physical damage of D-Rank damage once per turn, able to lift up to 150 lbs.
B-Rank - Able to attack with physical damage of C-Rank damage once per turn, able to lift up to 300 lbs.
A-Rank - Able to attack with physical damage of B-Rank damage once per turn, able to lift up to 600 lbs.
S-Rank - Able to attack with physical damage of A-Rank damage once per turn, able to lift up to 1,200 lbs.
SS-Rank - Able to attack with physical damage of S-Rank damage once per turn, able to lift up to 2,400 lbs.
X-Rank - Able to attack with physical damage of SS-Rank damage once per turn, able to lift up to 4,800 lbs.

Speed: This stat affects movement as well as dodging skill and agility.
Average - Speed of D-Rank spell, able to reasonably dodge D-Rank spells.
B-Rank - Speed of C-Rank spell, able to reasonably dodge C-Rank spells.
A-Rank - Speed of B-Rank spell, able to reasonably dodge B-Rank spells.
S-Rank - Speed of A-Rank spell, able to reasonably dodge A-Rank spells.
SS-Rank - Speed of S-Rank spell, able to reasonably dodge S-Rank spells.
X-Rank - Speed of SS-Rank spell, able to reasonably dodge SS-Rank spells.

Precision: This stat affects whether or not the enemy will usually be able to dodge a spell, as well as giving a small boost in range (not for AoE).
Average - D-Rank spells can reasonably hit, and regular range is followed.
B-Rank - C-Rank spells can reasonably hit, and range is increased by 10 meters.
A-Rank - B-Rank spells can reasonably hit, and range is increased 25 meters.
S-Rank - A-Rank spells can reasonably hit, and range is increased by 45 meters.
SS-Rank - S-Rank spells can reasonably hit, and range is increased by 175 meters.
X-Rank - SS-Rank spells can reasonably hit, and range is increased by 250 meters.

Endurance: This stat affects how much physical damage can be blocked as well as increase their pain resistance.
Average - Able to block physical damage of D-Rank damage once per turn, resists basic pain like jabs and punches.
B-Rank - Able to block physical damage of C-Rank damage once per turn, able to resist pain of cuts and gashes or pain that affects 20% of the body.
A-Rank - Able to block physical damage of B-Rank damage once per turn, able to resist pain of losing one limb or pain that affects 40% of body.
S-Rank - Able to block physical damage of A-Rank damage once per turn, able to pain of losing two limbs or pain that affects 60% of the body.
SS-Rank - Able to block physical damage of S-Rank damage once per turn,  able to resist pain of losing three limbs or pain that affects 80% of the body.
X-Rank - Able to block physical damage of SS-Rank damage once per turn, able to resist pain of losing up to four limbs or pain that affects the entire body.

unfortunately this doesn't work great with stats like precision.

speed is also a huge weapon so I don't want to boost it a whole lot via statistics. A stat system like this makes no point for a stat system.

Aight, I know Zed had two stat systems in mind so you can just ignore this. I'll archive it soon, but I wanna see his first.
