Kent walked though the streets of Crocus. On a job, naturally. He found himself in a slightly moodier state than he was hoping to be in at this time. This particular job found him trying to fight and defeat one of his long term enemies, a lost magic user by the name of Marcus Dima. Marcus usually went on rampages in order to satisfy his own often menial desires. Kent's crimson hair fell over his eyes as he remembered the last time he encountered him. He heaved a heavy breath to calm himself; He could not lose this time. The flowers of the city in a rainbow of colour bowed to each other and danced in the wind. The wind played with his hair and moved on spreading its calm to parts unknown.

He slowed down as he looked through the city, bored by his search. He decided to take in the sights and sounds. He hadn't been here since the Grand Magic Games when he was a young boy. Not much had changed in the intervening 5 years which was comforting but before he could enjoy his memories, he heard a crash and screams. It was Marcus! "Time to do this," he resolved to himself as he ran towards the the chaos. The water Godslayer let out his bellow in an attempt to blow the other mage away. But Marcus, using an arc of time specific to living beings froze Kent in his place, catching the Godslayer off guard and managed to do some damage before it wore off. "You got me Marcus but can you handle this? Water God's Sorrowful Cleanse!" a wave of dark water came rushing towards the time mage who didn't doge the blast but got swept up in it and was taken far away. Or so Kent thought. as he went follow him he got stopped in his tracks, paralyzed frozen in time. By the time he realized what had happened, he was on his back in a lot of pain but the city seemed to be in tact which was a silver lining what he saw by his head angered him so much he almost lost his composure. it read: "Kent, you are way too weak for me! still how is that guild of yours training you? it feels like you're getting worse and worse every time I see you hopefully your performance will improve by the next time we meet. Until next time, Marcus."

Limping and throughly enraged, Kent went off to one of the bars in the area. Though he wasn't in a particularly chatty mood today he went anyway he was ready for a good stiff drink and perhaps meet someone to take his mind off this humiliation. After the beating he took he could use the change of pace.

The bar. The best place to pick up slutty and easy girls. Though because of that reason, it was mostly filled with men. Taichi was sitting at a table in the corner, sipping on a drink while listening to a man’s complaints about his nagging wife and how the bar was the only time he could relax. He didn’t particularly enjoyed listening to the man’s rant, but it was only fair since the other had listened to his own.

He hadn’t exactly been having the best day himself. As luck would have it, he had managed to pick up a girl the night before. Though perhaps it was more smooth talking than luck, since he had given the girl the impression they were dating rather than just a date and a one night stand. She was furious and gave him a big piece of her mind, kicked him out and told him to never come near her again. It didn’t happen often that girls reacted this way, but he always felt like an asshole afterwards. He needed a drink, or two, or four, strong ones. Thus he was at the bar, hoping to drown his guilt and perhaps ease it with a girl who at least has the same agenda as him.

He kept a close watch at the door from the corner of his eye, hoping to spot a brave girl. He knew the odds of that happening were slim though, he was mostly here for the alcohol. Yup, how surprising, another poor dude down on his luck walked in to drown his sorrows away. Though there was something familiar about him. Taichi glared for a while, the man at his table even questioning him about it. “hmm? There’s something familiar about that guy.. I think I know him, but from where?”

The man raised an eyebrow “You said you were a mage right? Don’t you guys all know each other and stuff”

Taichi’s eyes grew large at the realization that made him remember: this guy, he was a member of Fairy Tail!! “That’s it! You’re right, he’s in the same guild as me. I’m going to go talk to him”

That said he downed the remains of his glass in one go and walked over to the bar where Kent was sitting. He took the seat next to him, though he wasn’t sure if the guy would even recognize him. Taichi didn’t have much of a bond with any of his guild members yet. Most Fairy Tail members were really eager to get stronger and reach S rank, whereas Taichi only cared about taking easy jobs and picking up girls. The only interactions he had with the other guild members was small talk from time to time, so he wouldn’t be surprised if Kent didn’t recognize him. On the other hand, he had been in Fairy Tail for six years now, and every time he entered the guild building he loudly blew the whistle around his neck. He’d be a little hard to forget despite his lack of group missions. Taichi addressed the bartender and pointed to Kent. “His drink’s on me, get me another one too please.”

He smiled and waved at his fellow guild member. “Been having a rough day huh? Sorry, I don’t remember your name… Was it Kyle..? Kane.. Something with a K..”

weary, he looked at the man "Its Kent, Taichi," he sighed heavily "and Ya, its not been the most fun day for me. I know why they stopped using time magic though." He picked up the drink and sipped it slowly. As annoyed as he was about losing to Marcus he didn't feel like taking it out on someone else especially one of his guildmates. "thanks for the drink by the way, how are things? what brings you all the way to Crocus? you on a job or something?" He was still annoyed at the world but he hoped that it would't be betrayed so openly across his face. The Godslayer was trying to be as pleasant as possible as he awaited an answer from his comrade.

“Kent! I knew it was with a K”

Taichi had a serious lack of embarrassment when it came to situations like this, and was rather proud about the mere fact he knew his name started with a K. Though he should have known his name to begin with. His guild mate was looking rather down and spoke of the banning of time magic, though he couldn’t connect the dots on what that had to do with having a bad day.

Before he could ask about it he was showered with a series of questions. To ready himself to answer them he took a large sip from his drink, feeling miserable just thinking about it. “Uugh, I’m just trying to drown my guilt over this girl I picked up last night. I feel like such a dick”

He moved his hand through his fringe out of frustration and continued to explain in a bit of a theatrical manner. “I just hate it when this happens. I go somewhere to pick up girls, treat them all nice for a day and end up sleeping over. And I try so hard to show them a good time, and they always have a good time! Everybody’s happy! But no… She had to fall in love with me and got so angry. So angry!! She even threw a chair at me!”

Reliving the argument in his mind upset him to the point of downing the whole glass in one go, then put it down harshly on the counter. “Ahh!”

That only made him more emotional though, his eyes becoming watery and his guilt becoming sadness “I only want to make girls happy, not sad or angry or heartbroken. I just want everyone to have a good time”

The bartender rolled his eyes at what an idiot Taichi was being. Though Taichi was too occupied with his own ridiculous dilemma and even ordered another drink. He couldn’t really remember all the questions that Kent had originally asked him anymore, but decided he had been rambling for long enough. “What about you? What are you upset about?”

Kent slammed down his glass in frustration. "It just a job that went horribly wrong." he growled before regaining his composure "my arch nemesis Marcus Dima has decided to wreak havoc upon the outskirts of Crocus just out of spite for me." The Water Godslayer clenched his Jaw and looked down at the floor "I didn't expect him to be as good as he was..."

Still annoyed at himself, he ran his fingers through his hair and steadied his tone a bit to so that he could better comfort his guildmate. "Thats a damn shame, man its never nice when people argue" he patted Taichi on the back, "It don't really know what to say I'm kinda bad at things like this but I hope she can come around. How about we just drink. Another round barkeep!!"

Marcus Dima. Taichi searched his hormone controlled brain for any data on a person with that name, but nothing came to mind. Though an arch nemesis sounded like a serious thing. He was glad he didn’t have any serious enemies himself. Kent seemed to be really upset about it though, and as his guild mate it was his duty to cheer him up. The other ordered another round of alcohol, something they both could appreciate. “Yeaah, I’ll drink to that!”

When they both drank some more liquor Taichi got to the point where he was rather tipsy. He moved closer and wrapped his arm around Kent’s neck “Screw Marcus! You know what we’re going to do. We’re going to get laid. Just leave it to me, we’re going to find some hot, slutty, sexy girls, and we’re going to screw them too”

He chuckled, amused by his own pun of screwing both marcus and girls.
