Re: The gentel breeze of Fate...
It was what many would call a beautiful day in the city of Rose Garden for the sky was as if painted a sea of baby blue and the golden sun had risen high above the sky in a beautiful portrayal of a radiant jeweled orb. Specks of pure white clouds loitered across the nature's naturey canvas and, as if it wasn't plentiful already, a cool breeze caressed the adventurous souls that had decided to journey to the great city of the Rose Garden. Meanwhile, the birds happily chirped amongst themselves and the buzzing of the bees could be distinctly heard as they raced passed the unwary. Yet, one would come to wonder, how could this all be possible within a majestic and bustling city?
Unbeknownst to most, the modernized and exalted city was not only comprised of high end malls and decorated plazas, but, deep within the heart of the land, was a hidden rose garden that few had come across. Yet, if a soul was to venture near the hidden mass of flowers on that particular day, they would stumble across a lone figure among the sea of flowers within the garden of roses. The figure was of a woman of average height yet she held a powerful aura about herself. Her movements and grace could not go unnoticed as she walked through the secret garden even if in a relaxed manner. If one were to focus more upon the woman, they, curiously enough, would not be able to recognize the woman as Natalia, Guild Master of Animus Sin.
In that particular day, Natalia had gone under her guise of vampiric self, Elizabeth Pryde, the Ace and right hand woman of Natalia. Yet, no one but the Guild Master of Dragon Heart knew of her secret -that she and Natalia were one and the same. No matter for, despite the past the two shared, she trusted Fujin to some extent and that was all that truly mattered. At least, for now. The vampiress took in a deep breath, her red crimson hair flowing with the wind as the light breeze blew gently past. Exhaling slowly, her lips curved to that of a sly smile. The scent of roses was thick and heavy yet the sweet perfume was filled with the cries of delight and self wonder. It was the scent of happiness and good things that filled the world around making vampiress smile wider with a sense of bewilderment.
If it had been any other day, Elizabeth would have loathed the brightness of the sun shining down upon the small portion of the city, but, amazingly enough, her mood had lifted. Therefore, it was a surprise to see the red haired vampiress, like many of the city folks around her, was out and about enjoying of the bright sun and surrounded by the heavy scent of roses. The vampires grinned as her fingertips gently brushed the fragile petals of the dusty red and romanticized flowers. "To be or not to be," she muttered jokingly to herself. "That is the question." Those uttered words had been a famous quote once upon a time. It had held much meaning behind it yet, now, it had faded away into nothingness throughout the unending stream of time. A pity.
A soft, almost inaudible snap was suddenly heard as a stem was snapped. The vampiress paid it no mind for she had caused a rose to break loose. It had been an easy task to break the blood red rose free but she had pricked herself in process. Such an easy task with great consequence. The meaning of life in itself. A bead of blood began to swell around her ring finger and, almost immediately, an overly sweet aroma encircled the starving vampiress. Her stomach growled and, thus, the woman sighed as she brought the bleeding finger towards her lips and licked it clean of the crimson bead. The blood had no taste nor did it quench her thirst yet the vampires brushed aside the enticing idea of an exhilarating hunt. She had to keep herself regulated even if she had not fed ever since the war. Natalia smiled half heartedly. Such a strange reaction that was but one could say it was simply the power of the rose garden.
As the infamous guild master brought the cut flower closer to inhale its rich scent, Elizabeth licked her blood red lips. With her fangs threatening to retract, the vampiress closed her eyes in remembrance. The war. It had not been too long ago when the beautiful land of Fiore had been covered and drenched in flowing rivers of spilt blood. A war that would determine the fate of the very world she now occupied. It had been feast in many different light, but the rewards as well as the consequences had been great even if Nox Animus had fallen in the process. Her mind wandered towards the happenings. To think she had been so close to obtain it all, only to loose everything she had obtained at the arrival of the light guilds. Elizabeth's hands clenched, snapping the rose unconsciously yet again.
Janet. Elizabeth had been wrong to underestimate the woman during their battles. The ex member of the Council had truly been a great adversary, but things would soon be changing. She would see to it personally. For, if Elizabeth had done what she done almost flawlessly, then what was to stop her from trying again? She now knew the mistakes that had been made, which, that in itself, certainly worked in her favor. The vampiress relaxed and returned her gaze towards the field of flowers. She could recreate a Rose Garden. That, was certain. Yet, now the only question that remained was how? Nox Animus needed soldiers, but who would take the mantel? It was something she would have to figure out soon.
Natalia then refocused her eyes towards the sky -the day was slowly transitioning to the evening. Had she truly been there that long? Her gaze did not move for a few moments more before she stretched and leaned, yet again, to smell the roses. Something about the place drew her there, but she could not place her finger on the why. Perhaps her past life had had a correlation with the type of scenario? It wasn't too far fetched of an idea, but it remained an idea nonetheless. It wasn't long before the vampiress began to feel the sense that she was being watched. Immediately, her head snapped towards the direction she had felt the piercing eyes only to discover that no one was there. Her redwood colored eyes began to slowly seek out the hidden person. Did they mean her harm? No, that would not be as big of a possibility seeing as they could have attacked her while she was unaware of her surroundings. It wasn't until she made out the silhouette of a man a bit aways from where she was that she calmed. Just who was he? "Hello there, stranger!" Elizabeth finally called out. "Would you care to join me?" With that, she waited to see what the person would do. She would remain on guard until then. After all, anything could happen in the bright city of the roses.
