A CPU's Tour [OPEN]

As the sun rises, the start of a new day began. Obsidian let out a tired yawn as he walked out of the guildhall. Today he was going to give his new friend, Blanc, that tour she needed for Crocus. Wait, was it a tour? Doesn't she needs just the brief summary of how the world of Earthland works? Yeah, that sounds accurate. Anyway, after their first encounter, Obsidian treated Blanc to a meal before leading her to an inn for her to stay in before thinking of something more permanent. Though, him having to par for the expenses is a nuisance, but he's certain that it'll payoff eventually. He was now making his way to meet up with Blanc. He'll be sure to be thorough in explaining the world to her as she shouldn't have anything better to do yet. She did got here in less than a week after all.

White heart:

White heart, Blanc's HDD/goddess form, had been getting rather calm and mellow but still had a very hard time keeping her temper at bay, but didn't mind the outbursts as it reminded her of home and her sisters, which she missed very much. seeing as she was waiting for Alexander, White heart took the time to get her jumpsuit look less obvious to be armor and more to be a simple jumpsuit with a few accessories before seeing Alexander. "Hey, your a little late but that can be forgiven as you did allow me to get a few things sorted before you arrived. so, what are we gonna see and do then today, Alex?" White heart said in a very calm tone with a hint of aggression to let out some steam that she had been holding back on for a long time now.

Acknowledging the fact that he could detect the aggression in her tones, he decided to take it in stride-ish. "Late? Me? I have you know that I'm the most punctual man that you will ever get the privilege to know!", he stated in a mocked tone of sorrow. "I'm not late, you're just early!", he added to his pointless defense.

With the humor out of the way, he decided to get down to business and start with the tour and explaining things to her how Earthland works. "Okay, now that the requisite is out of the way, let's get this tour rolling.", he said as he put away his mocking tone and replace it with a casual tone. "Let's go the market place. It's good to know how the economy and transaction work.", he stated as he began leading Blanc to the market place. "Also, quick question, why are you in your HDD form thing? I would've thought that you only use it for beating up defenseless stage magicians in the woods.", he teased the CPU with the fact that she was so hostile to him that she would've been violent.

White heart wouldn't give a single smile or even a hint of one after Alexander asked why she was in that form and about what she did to him when they first met but would have a bit more of a bad attitude towards him now. "Are you trying to piss me off or are you being serious right now? i am in HDD as it gives me the ability to fly a certain height and each time i level up, i can fly higher, it doesn't give me stat boosts here, only the ability to fly. so please, think about what your gonna say to me as what you say may end up pissing me off, Understood, Alexander? and it's white heart in this form, not Blanc. try to keep that in mind next time, OK? " White heart said in a angry tone but with a hint of sarcasm.

Obsidian simply rolled his eyes at the CPU. "I see that your humor hasn't been affected and running at optimal level.", he replied sarcastically. "Anyway, I got over your near-constant hostility to me so let's get this show on the road White Heart.", he said to the misplaced girl. "We got places to be, things to explain and people to haggle. Not in that particular order, mind you.", he rambled as he tries to distract himself from being overwhelm by White Heart's hostility. Though, he did detect a hint of sarcasm so that's a huge step for him. "All jokes aside, we're here at the market place!", he said as they arrived at the market place.

"Alright, let's go down the basics shall we? The currency here are called Jewels. I don't know the currency exchange rate for your world's currency and Jewels but I'm sure we can find something to serve as a reference.", he said to White Heart as he look around the market place that he can use to give White Heart a rough idea of the value of Jewels. "Hey, tell me anything that you would buy that's considered 'common'. I'll try to keep an eye out for something like it. Like a soda or something.", he asked White Heart.

White heart would make notes on what the currency for Fiore was and thought back to what was common in her world that maybe considered "common" in Fiore. "Sodas are common, tea, coffee, sweets, chocolate. basically anything that counts as food and games, anything really should be common here too. if you can buy me some new clothes, i would like that. both as myself and Blanc. don't forget that, OK? i need some new clothes to fit in and not bring suspicion" White heart said before becoming Blanc and rubbing her eyes, looking a little tired.

"We can go shopping for new clothes for you as we go along. But worrying about suspicion? I'm pretty sure that they're not suspecting you anything. Well, they might suspect you for having a visually pleasing body.", Obsidian commented as he was referring to a small group of men leering at White Heart's body. "But back to the money thing. A soda from a vending machine in this world would cost you 100 Jewels to buy it.", he stated as he told White Heart the value of a simple soda from a vending machine. "That should give you a rough estimate of the value of Jewels to you, but we can keep on going. A new t-shirt would cost you about 2,000 Jewels. A piece of candy would cost you 25 Jewels. Getting a rough estimate yet?", he asked the CPU.

"I get it. thank you, Alexander. a rough estimate of jewels needed for a T-shirt, soda and a sweet is two thousand, one hundred and twenty-five jewels. am i right, Alexander? i am pretty sure i got it right. i think the credit to jewels is 1 credit for one jewel, so i got quite a bit of jewels... i believe." Blanc said in a calm tone before thinking about what she would need the most right now and save up her credit that were gonna be jewels for something she needed the most to stay living in this world until she could find a good spot to stay until she found a way to return to Gamindustri.

Obsidian gave out a sarcastic laugh at White Heart's statement. "Yeah, no, I don't think you quite understand the point of me telling you this. I'm telling you the value of Jewels so that you won't get ripped off in deals, but since the value of Jewels to Credits is 1 to 1 than it's pretty easy for you to tell. However, you can't convert your Credits into Jewels because there's no demand for Credits. Let me give you a brief lesson in Economics. Yes, yes, it's going to be boring but you need to know that your Credits won't help you.", he said to White Heart as her Credits are useless in this world.

"The economy is heavily influenced by Supply and Demand. Right now, let's focus only on Demand as it involves your Credits. Exchange Rates exist because there's a demand for a currency when you're entering a new country. So let's say there's a country called Japan that uses a different currency than Jewels that's called Yen. The example Exchange Rate for Jewels for Yen would be like 1 Jewels to 10 Yens. You need Yen instead of Jewels as it has value in Japan and you want to buy stuff there and Jewels wouldn't work as it's not an accepted currency there. There's no Exchange Rate for Credits because no one can enter your world and there's no demand for Credits.", he explained to White Heart. "Do you understand?", he asked the CPU. [color=#ff3300]"I'm basically trying to say that you can't exchange Credits for Jewels because Credits are useless in this world when you can't go back to your home world to spend it."[/color, he stated in an attempt to simplify it for White Heart.

Listening to Alexander explain about the finance and currency in fiore and how her credits were non-transferable, Blanc would sigh before getting her credits out from thin air and have them change into Jewels in a matter of seconds. "Did you think just because i am in your world that i couldn't just make my credits turn into Jewels in the same way we turn in quests in Gamindustri? i do understand about all the finance and currency but you should note that i am a CPU and thanks to that, i can do things no one else can in this world. changing my money is one of them, so please don't underestimate me, my friend. also, my oracle is doing all she can with all the other oracles and CPUs in Gamindustri to get me back there, so i will never lose hope to seeing my sisters, friends and citizens again. they all give me hope and i refuse to let their effort fail. never ever say i can't go home when everyone there is trying their best to get me back, got it? " Blanc said in a normal, calm tone, never once changing her expression of her face to anger, regret or sadness, always showing a determined and faithful face to show Alexander she believed in her friends, family and allies she had amassed from all the years she had been alive for and that she would never give up trying to get home.

Alexander didn't know how to react to White Heart's words. To listen to how strong her faith in her friends and allies had stirred an unknown feeling within. A feeling that he would have never given much thought. He was feeling envious of how strong her faith is for her people. He wasn't envious of White Heart, but actually her people. To have that much faith, he would survive with her alone due to his condition. He realized that he needs White Heart as she is the only one that may bring him to salvation and freedom. He's going to need to play his cards right.

"Hey now, I never once said that you'll never get home, White Heart! I meant that there's no one in this world can get to your world! But to have that much faith though... Your people must be really amazing!", he said to the CPU with a realistic, but fake, bewildered face. Looking around the market, he tried to find something that he could teach White Heart.

Seeing that there's nothing important to teach her, he then think of something that she needs to know here. Perhaps telling her about guilds? Hmm, with her skills, she may be interested in joining a guild to make some actual income. "Hey White Heart, have you heard about Guilds in Fiore yet?", he asked the CPU as she has been in this world for a bit now.

Blanc was getting a bit irritated when Alexander kept calling her white heart when she wasn't in HDD and was holding herself back from giving him a knuckle sandwich straight in his face, remembering that she needed to control her temper and if she did hurt Alexander, it would end up making it harder to get along with him. "Stop calling me White heart! i am not in HDD anymore, so call me Blanc!! jeez.... what if i said your name for a different form if you had one while you were still in your regular form, uh?! i am trying my best not to punch you into next week, so appreciate my patience and my determination to keep my temper in check." Blanc said in a very angry tone, looking furious but trying her best to calm down before speaking again. "sorry about that. to tell you what you said about my people being amazing, they are just normal people that put their faith in me. they faith turns into shares which, in turn, all goes together into a shareicite crystal. the shareicite crystal gives me my power and gives me strength in both this form and my HDD form. i owe them a lot, even more then they owe me. i owe Neptune, CPU of planeptune, a lot for being my friend. i owe Noire, CPU of Lastation, quite a bit for helping me when times got tough. i even owe Vert, CPU of leanbox, who i call thunder tits, don't ask why, a bit. to answer your question, yes i know about a guild here. Sabertooth, which a wolfgirl named Genesis told me about. she wants me to join it, but i said i needed to see all the other guilds first before making my decision. i will be leaning towards Sabertooth though, considering Genesis's kind and nice nature. " Blanc said in a calm and peaceful tone, keeping a smile on her face while having no rage or hate in her mind or showing on her face or body language.

Obsidian raised his hand in defense. "Sorry! I wasn't really paying attention to your form! I just call you whatever you want me to until otherwise! I'll be sure to pay more attention! It's just so weird to call someone else simply because they look different.", he said as he sincerely apologized for his mistake.

"But to think you've met Genesis already... She's quite famous, not to mention powerful. If I remember correctly, her rank is SS which makes her worthy of obtaining the title of Guild Master. We never hang out, but I'm sure she'll get fed up with me in no time.", he said jokingly. "But jokes aside, I'm also part of Sabertooth. Guess what rank, I am. A-Rank's the answer!", he snickered at the word play that he just did. "I may be considered a joke, but I'm a force to be reckon with!", he stated with pride.

"Anyway, it's smart that you decided to scout out other guilds before making a decision. So I'll give you some tips about them. A vast majority of guilds follow a motto or some goal for their guild members. Sabertooth's goal is to become the strongest in Fiore or in the world. The only reason you should join Sabertooth is if you're interested in power, Blanc.", he explained to Blanc.

"I suppose we can travel around Fiore to scout out some well-known light guilds. As, there's different types of guilds, Blanc. There's Light Guilds, Dark Guilds and Independent Guilds. A Light Guild is a guild that is approved and registered by the Magic Council which makes it legal. A Dark Guild is a guild that was not approved by the Magic Council and is treated as a criminal organization. An Independent Guild is a guild that also wasn't approved by the Magic Council but is not treated as a criminal organization.", he explained to Blanc.

Blanc would laugh a little at Alexander's defensive response as if she didn't care much as to why he didn't notice her change back into her smaller form or that she didn't mind him not noticing the change in appearance from White heart to her current form. listening to her guide, Blanc would keep her ears peeled for anyone around while listening to Alexander go on about the guilds and how ranks worked and what rank he and Genesis are, though she couldn't really care less about what and how ranks were as it reminded her a bit about the level system she had in her world, back where Rom, Ram and all her allies were. "why is it a rank system for guilds and people? wouldn't it be a little bit more fun and a tiny bit more... simple to go by a level system? my world had it and ever time you leveled up, you got stronger and you could learn more techniques. to be perfectly honest, i don't really care for ranks. all i care about is getting home to my sisters, Rom and Ram. i also want to get home and get back to reading, as it helps me learn more and it helps calm me down after a stressful day. if you are wondering about how you level up in my world, you have to defeat monsters and do quests. i used a hammer to beat down my foes but when i transform i get a ax. if i could find a way to get those weapons here, i would like to find out. do you know a way, Alexander? you were born in this world and i just came here so i don't know much about this world. sorry if i sound like i am exaggerating but i am serious. could you please tell me if there is a way to get my weapons here, Alexander? " Blanc asked in a rather calm tone, keeping her temper down and never once sound dishonest or rude towards her friend and guide.

"With that attitude, you won't get far in life!", he declared as he dramatically point at Blanc. "Then again, you don't want to spend your life in this world so I guess it doesn't matter.", he commented.

"Anyway, to answer your question about getting your weapon, you can commission someone that can make one to your specifications. Granted, it won't be cheap so you'll have to get your hands dirty if you want a weapon in the future.", he answered Blanc.

And another thing to note is that your world sounds cheaty. Like, it's a lot more easier to get stronger there and all you need is time to waste. The reason the Rank System was placed is that the Magic Council had managed to determine the maximum and minimum power that a wizard can obtain on their own. Your Level System seems like it would keep on changing so there's that.", he explained the Rank System.

"Oh, speaking of Ranks. I think it's best for me to tell you what the rankings are. It's very important for wizards to know about Ranks as it relates to the jobs that they can take and for future reference.", he said to Blanc as he began to think a good explanation for her.

"I could use your Level System as a reference. Can you tell me anything about it? For each levels, please tell me the qualities of them. Like their max speed, strength and endurance.", he asked Blanc.

Blanc was getting more and more pissed by the second about how the leveling up system she had in her world was cheap and the rank system they had were fair. it made Blanc want to rage out and smash everything with her hammer but she didn't have it, making her more pissed off. Blanc would sigh before explaining what Alexander wanted to know. "there is no max of anything. it depends on your fighting style and what class you have. i use hammers and my HDD form uses axes, so my greatest stat is attack and balance. however, if we take a swords woman like Neptune, she has better speed and slightly lower attack. she is a balanced character so she is a jack of all trades. it takes a long time to level up, and it takes multiple fights against monsters to level up once. it all depends on stat point distribution. Ranking up seems kinda... easy and i don't like it. far too easy to get stronger. leveling up seems more fun and interesting to see what experience you gain and what amount of stat points you get to put in to your stats. also, i read up there is a magic called... "Re-quip" that can allow me to summon my weapons. is there such a magic and if so, can i obtain it? " Blanc asked while keeping her rage hidden, trying not to release it all at Alexander as it would lead to some bad attention from others.

"Requip magic is obtainable by anyone but you'll have to learn it in order for you to even use it. You can buy the magic from a vendor that sells learning materials about it.", he answered the CPU's question.

"From what hear about your world, it doesn't provide anything solid to be used as reference. Which is fine, I guess. But it may be tough for you to understand the concept of ranks. I guess I can just tell you the capabilities of a wizard based on their ranks.", he stated as he began his explanation.

"Let's are important to wizards as it determines their eligibility for jobs and to determine how powerful an individual is. Ranks can be applied to others things such as spells, items and creatures. I'll talk about them later, so let's focus on wizards and their spells."

"The are as followed from weakest to strongest. D, C, B, A, S, SS and finally X. I guess you could make it into a scale where D-Ranks are mostly beginners while X-Ranks are people that are told in legends. Anyway, I'm going to compare each ranks to a D-Rank wizard as they're the closest to ordinary people. Not only that, the Magic Council also made a statistic representation of destruction that can be caused by ranked spells to ranked wizards by basing their health as being 100%. So there's that."

"A D-Rank spell damage on a D-Rank wizard's health deals 10%. C-Rank spells can deal 20% damage. B-Ranks can deal 35% damage. A-Ranks can deal 45% damage. S-Ranks can deal 55% damage. SS-Ranks can deal 75% damage. And finally X-Ranks can deal 95% damage. But remember, D-Rank wizards are tougher than ordinary people so an X-Rank wizard could probably kill a person with a single spell. Do you understand how important the ranks are?", he he asked Blanc.

Blanc would make notes in her head about these "Ranks" and how they were a ranking of strength and power, which was interesting to Blanc, having a thought in her head that X ranks were like level 100 or higher from her world and currently she was level 1 meaning she was a D rank, if her math was right. "I believe so. it is kinda like the leveling up system in Gamindustri. so your around level eighty or ninety in my world, considering your a A rank, and I am a D rank, which is equivalent to level 1 up to level 20 in my world. your too powerful for me to even consider taking on so i shouldn't bother, it would be a waste of time and effort, like reading a book that you know has the same ending. am i getting close to what you mean? " Blanc asked in a confused tone, trying to make heads or tails as to what these ranks were and if they were equivalent to her leveling up system she had.

Obsidian gave Blanc an astonishing look. "Correct! Now you know how the Rank System works now. Now, here comes the part where I tell you about items and creatures.", Obsidian continued on with his explanation.

"You can buy a bunch of amazing things if you're browsing in the right place. A wizard can buy spells, items and pets to make their lives easier. They're only practical if you're powerful enough to handle/tame them. Let me explain."

A D-Rank wizard could use D-Rank spells since those are the only thing they can handle. They could learn a C-Rank spell or two but that's their max as they can't handle any more. Meaning they can't handle or tame an item/pet that's A-Rank or they'll get themselves killed. Depending on their ranks, an item or pet can use a few spells as well. Seeing that you're D-Rank, the best items you can handle are D-Ranks. They're weak, but they're more unique and stronger than generic weapons. So keep that in mind if you're thinking of buying anything.", he finished.

"Feel free to ask any questions!", he added.

making notes in her head about what Alexander had said, Blanc had made everything clear and it sounded almost identical to her worlds structure, Equipment and technique she and her allies could get after completing missions, leveling up and buying more armor and weapons. when Alexander said she could feel free to asking any questions, Blanc would give a small smile and reply. "that is all. you have made it really clear what ranks are and what they can do. it is the same as my leveling system i had. we can't buy and use weapons that are out of level range. we can't learn techniques and use them until we reach the right level and we can't certain allies until we reach a certain part of the story and our levels are high enough to get through it. thank you for you kind and helpful assistance. i am thinking about joining Saber tooth but only because of you and Genesis. i will be only using weapons, nothing more. no magic, so then i can freely keep fighting and not have anything draining my power. thank you, Alexander. " Blanc said without a hint of sarcasm or hate, but with a tone of honesty and kindness.

"No magic? Well that's one heck of a declaration. It won't be easy, but I'm sure you can do it! Though, I'm pretty sure you're going to need to rely on others if you're planning on using only weapons. Fortunately, I'll help you out or maybe even Genesis. Either way, you got someone ready to help you out in life!", Obsidian assured Blanc even though she doesn't need any form of reassurance.

"Hmm, sounds like I told you everything that you will need to know about how to get ahead in life. Though, I might have to give you a history lesson but we can do that another time. For now, let's go shopping. We're in a bazaar and you need some new outfits if you want to fit in this society.", Obsidian said as he began showing Blanc multiple vendors for the rest of the day.

"Relying on others is a good way to make good friends. it means you trust them and you can rely on them to do stuff and help you when you can't do it alone. i learned that much thanks to my Fellow CPUs. without them, i wouldn't be here speaking to you right now. thank you for this Alexander, i trust you a lot more now then i did before. time for a little shopping. i may get something for Rom and Ram so then they know i cared about them, even when i was away. " Blanc said to Alexander in a very calm and kind tone, going over to the stores with him in a calm way, looking through them all, buying clothes for herself and a few things for everyone else back in her world.
