    Magic Description

    Body Link Shield: A defense type magic that can take form as a skintight and orb/capsule-like shield. This shield is a magic power that stems from the heart and emotions and reveals itself as a transparent turquoise glow that surrounds the body(skintight) or object/person/group of protection(capsule). The skintight version is always covering the most outer layer of the person or object of choosing. The capsule can take the shape of a dome ending on a surface, or as a hamster ball. The caster links their body to the person or object they desire to protect. This is done by making a magical emotional connection which is released in a pulse, thus the shield is created that protects against magic attacks. There are no records of this magic anywhere, and so far Taichi has been unsuccessful at teaching others. He’s assuming it is a hereditary magic like e.g. celestial magic.



    Perks of Magic
    1: This magic shields either partially or fully, depending on the spell, any magic attack of the same rank. That’s all there’s to it. There can be no magical damage done to the opponent with this magic.


    2: These magic shields can have additional properties that have various functionalities. These properties put the user at a slight advantage or opponent at a slight disadvantage, but battle wise aren’t very impressive.


    3: This magic can only be undone by the caster or dispelling mages. This means that the shield will stay regardless of the rank of attack coming his way, only if it takes out the caster’s consciousness or magic essence it will automatically disperse. Which is possible, because if the attacking magic, either by rank or as combined attack of the same rank is more powerful than his shield its percentage of protection will drop. So if his C ranked shield was hit by an S rank offensive attack his shield would be rendered useless and the attack would hit him full on. Once a dispelling mage nullifies all his shields he will be left to the mercy of close combat.




    Weaknesses
    The larger the radius of a shield the longer it takes to cast. Meaning he can instantly shield a single person and a small radius, but any more takes a larger shield which takes longer to cast.


    Strengths
    Blocking offensive spells of the same rank for a full 100% as long as it's one attack at a time.

    Range: 0-20 meters

    Appearance: A teal transparent hue that covers the body or forms a large orb depending on the variation chosen.

    Description:  Shields those inside the shield from harm. Shields for only 50% from magical attacks of the same rank and un-sticks a person from whatever substance they are stuck too. Can last up to 3 posts and has a 4 post cooldown. This shield is slippery and is mostly used as a beneficial spell. Examples of situations: In a narrow area this shield can be used as a lubricant of sorts to squeeze through. On a steep area it can be used as a speed boost to slide down. On the opponent it can be used to hinder their movement. Or as a safety insurance in a food fight, since liquids and trash will drip right off keeping you dry and clean.

    Drawback: It’s hard to control a magic that creates a slippery surface, requiring the shield user to be very careful. E.g. if one would try to run with this magic they would drop face first to the ground. When sliding with the feet there’s also a high risk of slipping and crashing to the ground. Can only be cast on one area of effect. So if he shields an opponent he can’t shield himself.

    Extra: Can be used to negate a magic that gets you sticking to something.

    Range: 0-20 meters

    Appearance: A teal transparent hue that covers the body or forms a large orb depending on the variation chosen.

    Description:  Shields those inside the shield from harm. Shields for only 50% from magical attacks of the same rank. Can last up to 3 posts and has a 4 post cooldown. This shield is sticky and is mostly used as a beneficial spell. The whole shield will stick to anything it touches, thus anything it touches will stick to it. Examples of situations: Can be used when falling off a mountain to stick to the edge. It can be used on an opponent to limit their maneuverability. Or to collect as many jewels as possible when dropped in a tank full of jewels!

    Drawback: Once you stick, you’re stuck. That’s it, no walking over the sealing with feet that stick, no removing any objects that are sticking to the shield, stuck is stuck, and won’t be unstuck until the shield is deactivated. Doesn’t matter if it’s a friend or a foe, this shield will always render magic attacks useless for 50%. Not very effective to use at a beach, as just a thin layer of sand will stick to the entirety of the shield when the person who it’s cast on rolls through the sand. Can only be cast on one area of effect. So if he shields an opponent he can’t shield himself.

    Extra: Can be used to avoid getting washed away by a slippery magic, ONLY if activated before getting hit by said magic. If it’s after the slippery magic substance will simply stick to the shield.

    Rank: D

    Type: AOE

    Range: 0-20 meters

    Appearance: A teal transparent hue that covers the body or forms a large orb depending on the variation chosen. From the shield comes an arm made of the same magic as the shield.

    Description:  Shields those inside the shield from harm. Shields for only 50% from magical attacks of the same rank. Can last up to 3 posts and has a 4 post cooldown. A large arm stretches out of the shield, this arm can grab onto things or beings. Examples of situations: The arm can reach out to a tree branch and swing the caster in any direction, or if the shield is cast on the opponent the arm can send them flying instead. The arm can reach out to a human to pull them into the safety of the shield as it retracts. The arm can stretch out to the opponent and grab on to them.

    Drawback: The stretched arm can be controlled to fulfill functional purposes, but is not fast enough to deliver a damaging attack like e.g. a whip would. The opponent can free themselves of the hold of the arm with a magic attack, or simply dodge the arm so they won’t get grabbed in the first place. Can only be cast on one area of effect. So if he shields an opponent he can’t shield himself.

The shield can last for a total of 5 posts, and will stay up regardless of the attacks thrown at it. The cool down for this spell is 5 posts. It blocks up until one attack of the same rank, if there’s two attacks of the same rank at once the shield’s percentage will drop, the more attacks at once there are the more the percentage will drop and less the shield will protect. At six attacks of the same rank the shield’s percentage is at only 10%, at this stage the attack hospitalizes the caster in one hit. This shield can affect two areas as a skintight shield. As a capsule only one. He can only cast one or the other, but can transfer the one into the other. So he can’t protect a small house in a capsule and himself with a skintight shield at the same time, but he can shrink down the capsule to a skin tight shield on up to two civilians inside the small house, in this case the capsule turns into the skin tight shield.

If you mean by the fact its a speed boost due to it allowing due to its slippery properties this is fine, but pleas change the wording for it seems as if it raises your speed stat, which would require a seperate spellOn the opponent it can be used to hinder their movement. If it can affect an opponent get rid of this. Spells can only affect either just the opponents, the caster or the ally, not all three or even just two of them. That would require a separate spell.
