[POLL/IMPORTANT] S Rank Exams

Not sure if we are allowed to reply to this with our thoughts on why we voted, but the reason I voted for having the GM do the trial is because S-Rank is a big deal to get to and shouldn't just be decided based on a single app. In the same way, GMs are expected to have 400 word posts and be active. So the reason the GM should have the trial, other than to take the stress off of the staff to create an entire event for it, is because it will show GM activity. If a GM doesn't reply often to a trial (at the extreme very least once every two weeks, although I'd like that to be reduced to once a week at the minimum without an excuse, and even then it isn't very enjoyable). If the GM doesn't post, they can be removed for inactivity. This way, we don't have any inactive GMs just taking up spots. Thanks!

Makes sense. And I'm glad you brought up the points on why you voted the way you did. The reason we had it as GM's initially was because it was to give GM's a voice in the choosing of their S rank. They got inactive so we turned it to staff exams. Staff got insanely busy or some just dropped off the grid so we were left at a stand point. Now that we don't have that many auto ranks that still hold their positions, we can do a complete redesign of it. But yeah, makes sense ^-^

While I feel a trail should be done by a GM I'm just concerned with the fact that at the moment no GM has spells and the person going on trail would not either since they need to complete the trail to get their stuff. so how would a trail really work and show the S rank's true strength? On a side note maybe have a rough guideline on how these trails would work. And going off selenia's comment about GM activity I think that there should be a reason why the GM can only post once every two weeks. Maybe around the holidays or if they are on vacation then yes but in those instances they shouldn't have started a trail in the first place.

As long as you agree with the GM prior to the trial how spells will work, you don't actually have to have an approved magic app. My trial is an example of this.

Well, the turn out was pretty good for the poll. I'm really happy about that. That said, I don't think there's a point into keeping it open any longer seeing as the majority vote for GM to take over exams.

Therefore, I will see to it that all GMs are active and posting to get their guild going (GMs, you've seen my PM). Im also going to limit the competition between S rank applicants to either two or three. That way there's not a big influx on the amount of people that sign up for it. I'll be making guidelines for these exams and get them done on Thursday (reason being that that's an important deadline GMs currently have). By next week, I'm assuming that Guild Masters will be actively participating on the site (another important deadline for them) so exams will mostol likely be starting then.
