Species Ability/Perk
As a Bionic Human, Ruby doesn't just have circuits and machinery inside of her; the machinery is part of her DNA, and has fully integrated itself into her body. Not normal technology by any means, it has become part of her very flesh. Being an orphan, she's not sure how it got there, but she believes it may be magical in nature and seems to be able to affect her body. However, the magical technology isn't physically obvious; she looks, mostly, like any other human, and for all intents and purposes she still is. She's just better. The bionics inside of her have improved her human functions and abilities greatly, and she still doesn't even completely understand it. -Mechanical Reconstruction: Ruby can have her body rebuild through the bionics within her. This is a passive perk which activates automatically once she has taken damage of her rank. It allows her to heal damage to her body of her rank with a two post duration and a three post cooldown. Currently at D-Rank, it takes two posts to heal that D-Rank damage, but once she has reached C-Rank she will heal C-Rank damage over two turns (D-Rank each turn), and at B-Rank she will heal over two turns (C-Rank each turn), and so on.
-Increased Experience: Ruby is able to increase all the EXP she gets from jobs by a set percent (this will depend on a dice roll). This occurs because of her bionics mostly - although she is of average intelligence normally, the bionics in her brain allowed her to learn much more than an average human, and much faster. For this reason, whenever she goes on jobs, she is able to take away much more from it. The experience she gains from it allows her to grow faster.

Personality: Ruby has a relatively simple personality: fierce and stubborn, which stems from her human willpower. She fears little, which is demonstrated when she directly and disrespectfully those who claim to be stronger than her, demanding that they recognize her strength. She is somewhat self-conscious about her body (because of her bionics), but is very confident in her own abilities. The self-conscious side of her is usually hidden and only known to herself. She has to get stronger to prevent herself from ever becoming complacent with her bionically-enhanced abilities, which means pushing the unrestricted boundaries of her human body and having both parts of her work in perfect unison. Being partially bionic, things are a lot easier for Ruby than they are for a normal human. Not only is she physically stronger, but her mind works differently; she can tackle problems from the clearest, most logical solution in an instant, but sometimes fails to see that the best solution isn't always the most logical. Others' feelings have never been of major concern to her, but she has begun to realize that what she does actually does affect others.In battle, she shows fierce determination in defeating her opponent and grow stronger. Her stubbornness and strength of will is insane, but she won't ever let herself feel like she's reached her limit or unable to surpass her current strength, which includes having people be stronger than her. She will push herself until she has given it her all, and then push herself to go beyond that. Even if she ends up dying, she never wants to let either her human capabilities or the capabilities of the bionics within her restrict her; she will do whatever it takes to make it to the top. She can get reckless, but in all honesty, she has a lot of fun while she fights, proving to herself that she can be stronger than she's ever been before. However, she as much as she wants to be stronger, she won't give herself any undue hardships. If she's able to figure out the quickest way possible to take down an opponent, she will take it. After all, she'll be proving how she's grown if she's able to defeat anyone that tries to take her down. She's a bit of a solo fighter, preferring to fight alone due to her concentrated on the battle she becomes; strategy involving others doesn't usually concern her, since she feels like others will just slow her down most of the time, unless they can prove themselves to her.
Likes:
- Fighting: It's the one main way she can prove she is getting stronger. She's very competitive, and will fight anyone who asks. She only becomes deadly when dealing with enemies, but she takes regular fights just as seriously, giving her full power as long as it won't kill the person she's fighting.
- Meeting Capable People: When she meets new people, her hope is always that, if they are willing, they will be worthy opponents that she can view as equals, due to her wanting to be viewed as an equal. She enjoys the company of those willing to take risks.
- Resounding Music: Ruby finds loud, powerful music really cool; it helps her get pumped up for a fight and she feels like it allows her to express herself in some ways.
Dislikes:
- Lazy People: Anyone who doesn't feel like going out there and becoming more than what they already are, no matter how strong they are or think they are, is worthless in her opinion, and piss her off, especially if they are strong. She doesn't like to deal with them if she can help it.
- People Lacking Confidence: She feels a certain pity for some of them, who can't help being so weak. But those who have the power to be strong, or are strong but don't realize it just frustrate her to no end since they are the only ones stopping themselves. However, the ones she can't stand at all are those who give up completely. Ruby herself will never stop fighting till the end, and she believes others should as well.
- People With No Morals: She feels like these people are the lowest of the low in society; even if she can be a bit destructive while she battles, she's still a good person in the end. However, anyone who has no respect for themselves or respect for others isn't someone she can appreciate on equal terms.
Fears:
- Afterlife: While not really fearing death itself, she fears the fact that she doesn't know what comes after, and what will happen to her.
- Becoming Powerless: Different from unsurpassable power, she worries that she'll lose all her power and become completely unable to do anything. While she always strive to grow, becoming powerless would completely cause her to panic, whereas unsurpassable power would simply be something she would not want to face yet for fear of not being to match up.
- Unsurpassable Power: She worries that there is someone out there so strong that she'll never be able to reach them in power, but she hopes that she'll be able to keep growing stronger even if she does find someone that she currently can never hope to reach, in the hopes that one day she will be able to reach their level, and then surpass even them.
Motivations/Goals:
- Growing Stronger: She never wants to be limited in her power, so she's always trying to progress beyond her current limitations. She won't let what or who she is define her, but she will allow it to help her reach this goal.
- Discovering New Machines: Through her Machina Soul, she's always looking for new machines which she can adapt into her body to grow stronger. (Machina Soul must be approved first for this to apply. Machina Soul will be her primary magic.)
- To Be Understood: Ruby feels like she's always been different from everyone else due to the bionic nature of her body; even though she's still human, she also isn't. She just wants to be able to relate to people and for them to be able to understand her as well.
