I know I have no right to ask this personally after receiving an exception for an alt, but I just wanted to bring up a discussion and a poll for discussing the alt regulations. From what I understand, they exist to keep people from creating characters they won't use, which I completely understand. However, I fear that they also hurt and hinder the creativity of people who truly do wish to create diverse and complex characters, who can handle more than one or two and are able to form plots and carry them out well. I know this is asking a lot, but I just wanted there to be some opinions given on the matter, through the poll as well as through posts. I personally don't believe they should be eliminated completely; after all, they do restrict people who would just make alts without any good reasons from doing so and wasting the moderators' and admins' time. However, the current restrictions, at least in my opinion, are too high, especially since they only count RP posts. I understand once the site grows and RPing is more active, as well as once the site exits Beta, why this might make sense, but right now it's not easy to get the post count for an alt and very frustrating for some of the members I've spoken with. I think that as long as there is still a restriction in place, it would keep people from just creating alts for no reason, which is why I think restrictions such as 50 posts for the first alt, 100 posts for the second alt, 250 posts for the third alt, and 500 posts for the fourth alt would be must more acceptable, with the fifth alt remaining as only to be approved by admins. (For those that don't know, the restrictions are currently 100 posts for the first alt, 250 posts for the second alt, 1,000 for the third and fourth alt, and the fifth alt remains as only to be approved by admins). If you have your own opinions on what the post counts should be, please feel free to comment those. These are just my thoughts on the matter, not meant to offend anyone but just to create conversation. Please let me know what you think and vote what you believe, that's all I ask. Thank you!
