for dark guilds:
-Ean is a traitor and former member of animus sin. Although his defection didn't solely cause the downfall of the dark guilds it was a blow and although he didn't snitch and give up all your delicate information he does have it (especially animus sin's). If he wasn't such a dangerous person by nature he'd be dead by now however he is a dangerous person so proceed with caution.
One main idea I do want to do is to have a weaker member of animus sin (and other dark guilds) play stalker/ninja and try to gain intel on the traitor. note: He will see you. Why? Because he's done what you do you can't hide that well :p.
for light guilds:
-Ean is scum. He was a part of destroying the council. During the war it is by no stretch of the imagination he's killed people you care about. Thus revenge and hatred are feelings you can expect to feel towards Ean. Its not like he's even trying to repent for his sins which is only fuel to the flames of your characters disgust.
-Another big option is that Ean's world views aren't exactly accepted widely in the decent world. Therefore Ean's very existence is a challenge upon your characters more kind view of the world whereas Ean's is very simple but very cutthroat.
