Character Specific
Generally taught by a Water Dragon in most recent times, Water Dragon Slayer magic is, like most Slayer magic, an attack magic. However, similar to Sky Dragon Slayers, Water Dragon Slayers have some ability to heal, though status effects other than curing an ailment, such as the spell "Arms" often used by Sky Dragon Slayers, do not reach under this magic's jurisdiction. Users often are able to control water around them to some extent, thus, they prefer to fight near a body of water or when it is raining. As many other Dragon slayers can do, Water Dragon Slayers can live off of water alone, though many choose not to. This magic, generally either taught by Dragon, or obtained through a lacrima, was taught to Mizuko by Augmenta, the Water Dragon.
- Ability to consume the element of water for energy and sustenance as a replacement to food, as well as heightened senses the other Dragon slayers have, such as smell.
- Can liquefy certain points of their body at will. Single body parts, such as an arm or leg, can be liquefied quite easily ((1 post cool down)) while liquidating the entire body is much harder ((3 post cool down)). At S-Rank, liquefaction of one part of their body retains no cool down, while their entire body still has a 1 post cool down. Areas of the body that have been burned cannot liquify, as the water in that area is too low in concentration.
- Ability to breathe underwater is received. She cannot, however, or in any river closely connected to her own river of origin, as that water is a weakness to her.
- Extremely effective against all types of fire magic, and earth magic. Water attacks will often put out the fire, though wizards of higher power than the user's own will feel the natural effects of the user's powers less. For example, a wizard of the same or lower power level than the wizard in question will find most moves sent simply to be put out. Those of higher ability will only find the power weakened, or, in those who are of a very large gap of power higher than the user, will barely feel the effects at all. Any rocks ((rocks being defined as any stone that is the size of both your fists held together or smaller, anything more becomes too heavy, and becomes classified as a boulder to a water Dragon slayer's point of view)) or sand used can be eroded or washed away, the former as in the cases of when moves with high force, such as Water Dragon's Roar are used.
- Some ability to heal both the user and others, as well as cure most ailments through use of certain spells.
- Difficult to block, as water will simply flow around any barrier thrown up to stop it like a river, depending on the situation, spell, and barrier type. Spells made to simply go in one line, such as Water Dragon's Roar, will simply hit the target. Spells such as Water Dragon's Growl will apply to this.
- Notoriously weak against lightning or electrically affiliated attacks. Any attack made by a Water Dragon Slayer that is hit by a lightning attack of one rank below or more than the attack will be caused to dissolve. Attacks such as these are amplified when they come in contact with water. Add a mage who is often covered in water during her battles into the mix, and lightning isn't a very fun prospect to think about. Any attack with a small, thin spread out later if water coverage ((e.g.: Water Dragon's Slicing Rain or Healing Spring)) will be amplified about double that of the attacks regular powers, if the spell has been in use long enough to drench the target's entire body. Larger, more condensed water spells ((Water Dragon's Roar or Whip)) are amplified three times, and tend to travel up the length of the spell before reaching the mage if the mage does not disengage the spell in time.
- Needs to stay very hydrated, any extended amounts of time without water can have an ill effect on users of this magic far more severe than those who don't use this magic. Water must be consumed at least once every six posts. If not, ill effects can occur, including nausea, lightheadedness, fainting, and other similar symptoms. Stats are not affected, omitting health ((5% per post, using a percentage scale)) but the user can become unable to battle of it gets to 20 hours or more without water. Difficult to figure, but this will rarely, if ever, come into play with a job. However, if it does, on a higher ranked job, for example, 20 posts without water will result in the user becoming ill.
- As a natural side effect of being a Dragon Slayer, vehicles are somewhat of a problem to ride on and leave the user very sick.
- D-Rank:
- Water Dragon’s Growl:
- Name: Water Dragon’s Growl
Rank: D
Type: Offense
Range: 5 meters out from the user’s body in all directions
Duration/Cool Down: 1 post/ 2 posts
Appearance: A wave of water extends from all parts if the user’s body.
Description: When this wave of water extends, it slicks both the user and the target’s skin, making keeping a grip hard. As well as this, it’s initial attack provides force, pushing away anything near the user’s body.
- Water Dragon’s Whip:
- Name: Water Dragon’s Whip
Rank: D
Type: Offense
Range: 20 meters long; can be less when willed to be
Duration/Cool Down: 5 posts/6 posts
Appearance: The spell reveals itself as a long stream of water, constantly flowing out towards the tip. The base itself is slightly wider, like a handle, while the rest is thin, with a bulb-like tip, just like a real whip.
Description: Made to be like an actual whip. As such, it moves like one. The differences in this spell is that it can be broken. Ranks lower than the user will take 3 or more moves to break the whip, while equal ranks will take 2-3. One rank above the user will take two hits exactly, and two or more ranks will take only a single hit to the chain. It can be used to throw and lift things as well as hit them, and it’s difficult to dodge if the user is close to the target, due to it’s sweeping effect. It’s strength, physically, is like being hit with a steel chain, as it’s composed of a harder sort of water that is constantly running like a jetting hose.
- Water Dragon’s Bubble Helmet:
- Name: Water Dragon’s Bubble Helmet
Rank: D
Type: Supportive
Range: 30 inches in diameter
Duration/Cool Down: 1 air bubble grants 4 posts of air/ the number of air bubbles made plus one. If only one bubble is made, the cooldown is 4.
Appearance: Almost looks like a bubble you’d blow from a bubble want. It’s clear, and easily seen through. It’s a bit large, but is that large so that it can hold in the air needed.
Description: Given it’s primary use is air, this spell has little advantage in a battle, and is more for out-of-battle use. Given it’s a magical bubble, it can’t be broken by anything but magic. Even so, it can be broken by any spell D-Rank or higher. The air needs to be replenished, and can be replenished by the mage who cast the spell.
- To Be Completed When Unlocked:
- C-Rank:
- Water Dragon’s Slicing Rain:
- Name: Water Dragon’s Slicing Rain
Rank: C
Type: Offense
Range: 30 meters from the mage on all sides
Duration/Cool Down: 2 posts/4 posts
Appearance: It appears like any other rainstorm, except there are no clouds, and it hits much harder.
Description: This is a wide-range attack that is made for when the user is surrounded by enemies, and is essentially alone. It shows no discrimination between the friend and enemy. The basis of the spell is that it is rain, but rain that falls sharply. It’s equivalent to a rain of needles. It is not a smart move to use unless the user is alone. The only point it avoids is the user themself, and a foot range around them. They cannot be removed from the center of the spell, as the safe point follows them.
- Water Dragon’s Clone:
- Name: Water Dragon’s Clone
Rank: C
Type: Supportive
Range: 400 meters from the user
Duration/Cool Down: 3 posts/ 4 posts
Appearance: Looks like Mizuko down to the last stray hair.
Description: This spell uses magic to create a clone made of water that appears to be the person that cast the spell. This is used most often for distractions. The clone can use no magic, and will dissolve into water if attacked. If it falls into a river or another body of water, it disperses. It can echo Mizuko’s voice, however, like some sort of microphone.
- Water Dragon’s Healing Spring:
- Name: Water Dragon’s Healing Spring
Rank: C
Type: Supportive
Range: Body of the target and a half meter range around them.
Duration/Cool Down: 1 post/ 4 posts
Appearance: The water surrounds the target like a bubble, save a small bubble around their mouth and nose for air.
Description: The subject is surrounded in a veil of water, which will heal most minor injuries and ailments. If broken, the effects will be paused, and they will only heal half of what they originally were meant to. For status effectors such as paralyzation, the user will be healed of the status effect, but no HP will be gained unless the status effect is minor. This spell takes the rank of the target into play, and the same HP amount is gained as would be if this were an attack spell.
- Water Dragon’s Black Marlin:
- Name: Water Dragon’s Black Marlin
Rank: C
Type: Supportive
Range: N/A
Duration/Cool Down: 3 posts/5 posts
Appearance: This spell shows no outward appearance other than a slight blue glow around the mage’s body.
Description: Based to mirror the Black Marlin, the fastest known fish in the world, this spell temporarily grants the user the speed of a Black Marlin, allowing them to move at speeds of 80mph underwater. However, while on land, this spell’s abilities are halved.

Duration/Cool Down: 2 posts/ 3 posts
Appearance: A large wave of water, appearing to rise from the round, and continually moving up. It crests, but shows no sign of falling, simply rising endlessly until the spell times out.
Description: Made to be a shield, the wave sweeps up any and all attacks or weapons. Spells aimed at it are sent high into the sky to arc over the user and whomever else is behind the wave.

- Name: Water Dragon’s War
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: 800 meters
Duration/Cool Down: 2 posts/ 5 posts
Appearance: Raising her arms in the air, a swirling ball of water appears above the user, growing quickly in size. Once it is of a big enough size, it explodes, creating dozens upon dozens of weapons. Everything from swords, to axes, to arrows, and so on, are created midair as they fly towards the target, hitting the target from all sides all at once.
Description: An idea received from the war, Mizuko created this spell from her experiences. This, it is a spell that creates dozens of attacks and weapons out of water. Most are completely random, and can be anything from a spinning ball of water to a sword. These all appear in the air and descend on the opponent all at once.
- S-Rank:
- Name: Water Dragon’s Spring of Life
Rank: S
Type: Supportive
Range: A 15 by 15m pool is created. All people who are submersed in the water will heal their damage.
Duration/Cool Down: Can be held for 8 posts, cooldown is duration +2, max duration being 10 posts
Appearance: Imagine yourself looking at a pool deep in a forest. It is this, but cleaner. A spring quite literally appears in the ground. The water itself is a clear blue, and warm enough to relax the muscles. It isn’t deep, only 4 feet on one side, and 2 feet on the other. One side houses a small recess area to place unconscious mages to allow them to heal without drowning.
Description: The idea of the pool itself is quite simple. Those who enter its waters are healed. The amount healed is that which a mage would lose if this spell were attack. Every two posts,
Extra:- Dragon Slayer’s Secret Art:
- Name:[/b] Azure Seas: Twisting Whirlpool
Rank: S
Type: Offensive
Range: 90 meters
Duration/Cool Down: 2 posts/4 posts
Appearance: This secret art appears as a crashing, twisting whirlpool centered around the user.
Description: This is a secret art of Water Dragon Slayers. Given that all secret arts for Water Dragon Slayers have the name Azure Seas before their original name, this is spoken when saying the attack, rather than the usual “Water Dragon’s _____” It is an attack that is selective in whom it hits. It hits only those the caster is aiming for, and the area around. It sweeps them up in the whirlpool, locking them inside and spinning rapidly, almost endlessly, hitting in a barrage of strikes from the swirling waves.
- SS-Rank:
- Water Dragon’s Roar:
- Name: Water Dragon’s Roar
Rank: SS
Type: Offensive
Range: 1200 meters forward
Duration/Cool Down: 2 posts/ 3 posts
Appearance: Like a regular roar, except with water. It’s almost like a mix of a firehose and a wave. The beginning starts as a compressed jet of water, and it widens as it moves out, almost like a wave.
Description: A large canon-like spray of water is shot from near the users mouth, aimed at the foe, starting with a small diameter and extending as the spell moves outward. (Using some strengths vs. weaknesses here, as it’s the simplest for explanations.)
Strengths
- One of the moves that can erode rock at a fast rate, usually depending on the size if the boulder in question. For example, a boulder with a size about as tall and wide as the length from the ground to Mizuko's hip would degenerate at about two inches per second ((Two inches every fifty words on the posts)) Add well as this, the type of rock would also change the rate of erosion. Assuming an earth mage's rocks harden and become denser as they up in rank, a mage of lower rank would find the erosion average rate ((shown above)) to be only slightly faster, if one rank below, and nearly doubled at two ranks below. Mages of a higher rank will find the rank slowed in the same but opposite way that mages of lower ranks find theirs accelerated.
- Very forceful, often knocks opponents off of their feet. Of course, this depends on their weight. A heavier mage may only be pushed down on their back, while a lighter mage may even be pushed along the entirety of the range of the spell. A mage over 230 pounds would be one to simply fall backwards, while those below would slide. The distance slid will be left to the opponent, as clothes, armor, backpacks, and other such things can effect how heavy you are, as well as how well you can slide.
- Can be used from a distance to give the user a margin of safety.
Weaknesses
- Sides and behind are left unprotected while attacking.
- If touched with electricity, the attack can travel up the length and strike the user.
- Dodging counterattacks while using this attack is very difficult. Like shooting a gun, this spell has a kickback effect, so attacking with this spell from the ground requires a firm stance, until the spell is ended. From the air, the spell will push the user back from the location originally cast. Usually, this is about half the length of the spell, as the body can absorb some of the impact.
