Species Ability/Perk
The Ninetails: The Ninetails, as Kitsune calls them, are an ancient species known for their seclusive ways. Thus, not much is known about them and their society. What is known is as follows: Ninetails were once called the "Perfect Shapeshifters", adjusting to the fact that they could shift from the form of a fox and a human, as well as an inbetween state, which has as many tails as they wish it to have at any time, though most keep it at nine, or one, to take on the appearance of a Neko. Ninetails are rumored to be a cross between gods and nekos, the fox aspect of their bodies being an anomaly nobody can explain. Their most common magics are known to be White Magic, and Animal Magic. Most have at least one, or both at their disposal. The main way to identify which Ninetail is which is by their fox form, which will have markings unique to that species member, and that member only.
Multiform: Kitsune can shift back and forth between a fox, his ninetail form, his human form, and his child form. This is something he can control at all times, unless he is surprised or scared, in which case he will unintentionally turn into a fox. This change is only possible once per post.
Senses: Kitsune has the exact senses of a fox. He has excellent hearing and sense of smell, and can see rather clearly at night. His downfall is really bright light, as his eyes are not built for them. This makes him very weak in the daytime, as the light hurts his eyes. In a way, this is less of an ability, and more of a difference. He cannot control it, it's about as controllable as if a human needed glasses. Only one of these (that being sense or smell, as sight is impossible to turn off) can be taken advantage of in battle. However, if it is nighttime, the time in which his eyesight is actually relatively good, it is added to the group of senses that must be chosen from.
Special/Unique Characteristics
His name was one given to him by his adoptive father, who wasn't all that creative. He was a fox when he found him, so, in a way, he just named him "fox". Muto was his adoptive father's last name. (More of a note than a characteristic)
Ever since he was a child, Kitsune has had a tattoo on his back looking like this:
This appears covering his entire back, stretching from the base of his neck all the way to the small of his back, the edges curling slightly around his ribcage. In his wolf form, this also appears as a symbol bound in his fur and placed between the shoulder blades, just big enough to fit inside of them. ((HINT: this is the marking that is unique to him, as mentioned above)) As well as this, he has blue/gold Heterochromia.
Character Depth
Personality: Having been raised in a rather strange way, Kitsune never developed a personality one would consider "proper", or "complete". His earliest memories are a few scattered images of his mother. After that point, his first memory is being found in a box in his fox form by his then-on surrogate father. This father had to teach him a lot about behaving as a human being, his early behavior being similar to that of a wild animal. Some of that still kept on, like his absolute devotion to food. Even so, he's pretty quiet and seemingly civilized, constantly working on seeming like a 'proper' human. Thus, he's unfailingly polite, but very distant at the same time, more unintentionally than anything. He's nearly impossible to anger, not taking all that many things offensively. An exception to his is when somebody threatens or hurts somebody he loves, in which case all plugs are pulled, and you'd be better off running. He's still very fond of the forest, and is known to disappear into the trees for hours at a time, simply being in the wild. Not many know what he does out in the forest. He's very obedient to the ones he trusts, and will do most of what they say. As for those he doesn't trust, or hates, you're lucky if he looks at you.
In a fight, Kitsune is rather emotionless, still unfailingly polite, even though he is probably aiming to kill, if he's fighting you. Fights in which he hasn't gotten some reason, AKA, an attempt to injure one he loves, he doesn't try all that hard, not seeing a reason to. The only time he'll actually be goaded into trying during one of those fights is if he comes closer to losing. He isn't fond of losing, and will do anything to stop that. His fighting style is one that is mostly hand-to-hand, and, later, sword based, as his magic is one that isn't all that much of an offensive type. He will not hesitate to use his tails in a fight, as a way to block, or to knock somebody's feet out of under them.
Likes: (3 minimum)
-Cherry Blossoms: These are his favorite flower. It's a common sight to see him with one in his pocket, most times.
-Food: Any and all food is his favorite food. Those who give him free food will end up earning his undivided loyalty.
-Naps: He likes to nap where ever he can, generally in the sun.
Dislikes: (3 minimum)
-Swimming/Water: It wets down his fur, which takes a long while to dry.
-Hunters: Considering himself at least partially an animal himself, he hates hunters and their guns, though he himself eats meat.
-Rain: It's often too cold for him, and wets down his fur. Plus, it leaves everything damp after it's over, so even if you hide inside during it, you're stuck there afterwards.
Fears: (3 minimum)
-Being Trapped/Small Spaces: Kitsune was found inside a nailed box. Since that occasion, he's been very much against small spaces where he is locked in or trapped. Even being locked in a room causes him to panic.
-Wolves/Coyotes: Instinctively, he fears them, as the natural wild fox is often captured by them.
-Forest Fires: Another instinctual fear, he's not scared of fire in general, but wild, untamed forest fires are a thing he often has nightmares about.
-Death of his Loved Ones: If you become close enough that he considers you a friend, he's one that will constantly worry over your safe being.

-Finding his Family: Kitsune really wishes to find somebody in his family, or at least somebody who is a Ninetails like him.
-Protecting his Loves Ones: He'll do anything to protect somebody he loves.

The only way to tell he is about to go into his Ninetailed form is that both of his eyes beging to glow slightly.

This form has conditions. If his change into a fox is intentional, he will have nine tails. If he is forced into the form, he will turn into a one tailed fox.
